You Shouldn't Live with Even Mild Back Pain

I have a brother who was in a serious car accident years ago, and he experiences intense pain every day as a result of it. When I began experiencing mild, daily back pain, I felt guilty even talking about it, because I know others have it much worse. I then made a decision one day that even though others may have more severe pain than me, that doesn't mean that my milder pain doesn't matter. I began seeing a chiropractor every two weeks, and the decision to finally seek treatment for my pain was a great one. I created this blog to share my story. I want everyone to realize that they should seek treatment for any type of daily pain. Even though there may be others who have it worse, you and your pain still matter, and you should feel no shame in seeking treatment.

There Are Many Benefits From Going To A Chiropractor When You Are Pregnant

If you are pregnant, then your body will be going through a lot of changes and doing a fair amount of shifting. This will cause you to be uncomfortable, and this discomfort can turn to downright pain as you get further along in your pregnancy. Going to a chiropractor, such as Wave of Life Chiropractic, can help you to alleviate some of that pain and discomfort, and will also make your pregnancy quite a bit easier on you. Learn about some of the many benefits of seeing a chiropractor during pregnancy in this article.

Benefits of good back alignment

When you are pregnant, your back will start to shift as your belly grows. This is why you notice pregnant women looking as if they have sway backs. While this shifting is natural, a chiropractor will help to guide the shifting in the proper manner so you experience less discomfort. This will help to ward off back, shoulder and neck pain.

The chiropractor will improve the alignment between your spine and pelvis, helping to ensure the best possible birthing position. This will make for an easier labor and will also decrease the chances of your baby being born breech. Maintaining a healthy alignment and positioning of your spine and pelvis will even decrease your chances of needing to have a cesarean.

Benefits to your nervous system

Your nervous system is the main communicator for your entire body. Maintaining proper alignment will therefore keep the rest of your body functioning properly. Chiropractic care will help to take some of the stress off of your feet and legs. Taking extra stress off your lower extremities can also help to decrease the chances of you getting varicose veins. Proper spine alignment can also help to control nausea, something that will be very important to you if you are a mother-to-be that's more prone to experiencing morning sickness.

Reduced risk of hemorrhoids

Since your alignment has so much to do with your overall health and the way your body systems communicate with one another, seeing a chiropractor can help you to have an overall healthier pregnancy. You also won't be at as high of a risk for developing hemorrhoids during your pregnancy. If you already have hemorrhoids, the treatments can help them go away.

Now that you see the benefits that come from seeing a pregnancy chiropractor, you may want to make an appointment. You want to be sure you don't eat right before your appointment and drink plenty of water after your chiropractic treatment.
