I have a brother who was in a serious car accident years ago, and he experiences intense pain every day as a result of it. When I began experiencing mild, daily back pain, I felt guilty even talking about it, because I know others have it much worse. I then made a decision one day that even though others may have more severe pain than me, that doesn't mean that my milder pain doesn't matter. I began seeing a chiropractor every two weeks, and the decision to finally seek treatment for my pain was a great one. I created this blog to share my story. I want everyone to realize that they should seek treatment for any type of daily pain. Even though there may be others who have it worse, you and your pain still matter, and you should feel no shame in seeking treatment.

4 Ways To Cope With Fibromyalgia Morning Pain

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition that makes it hard to move in the mornings. In some cases, the pain can be so debilitating that you resign to your bed until it subsides. No one wants this painful condition taking over his or her life, so it is time to find ways to cope with the morning pain that comes with fibromyalgia.

1. See a Chiropractor

If you can afford it or your insurance will allow, book yourself an appointment with a chiropractor. This is someone who will be able to make sure there are no other reasons for the pain, and then give you exercises to make it easier to get through the day. You'll get morning exercises to do specifically for your needs and with your condition in mind.

2. Take a Warm Bath

3. Add Heat to Your Room at Night

A cold room can aggravate fibromyalgia symptoms. It's time to eliminate the cold from your room at night, whether it is from a draft in the window or lack of heat during the day to help. Block the drafts and invest in a thicker duvet to keep you warm at night.

4. Create a Sleeping Schedule

You need a sleep schedule that you can stick to. If your sleep schedule is random from one day to the next, you will not wake refreshed and find it more difficult to get up and start your day. While life may get in the way of doing this perfectly, try to get up and go to sleep at the same time each night. You can even develop a routine to help you fall asleep, if you are a person who spends a lot of time trying to fall asleep every night.
